This has to be the best representation of how I feel when no matter what I do every thing seems to go wrong. This show does miss some chances at some quotable lines other than that its spot on when life feels like what else could go wrong. I think it should be binged by anyone who has ever felt lonely in a room filled with their family or friends or you've ever felt unseen, or unheard and especially anyone who has ever had even just one day when no matter what you do nothing goes right. This series starts off with a death but even that has a comedic twist that leaves you with the familiar 'are you freaking kidding me' feeling when things do go wrong.
A really witty, touching and at times hilarious tale of an Irish-Islamic family living in Bray. Sam (played by the always brilliant and cheeky Baz) is trying to cope with being the sole parent of his three daughters. Into the mix is Sam's Islamic father and his brother, Zain who is the girl's cool uncle but a bit of a narcissist who loves them all, especially the youngest, Nancy. She is a real sweetheart and so cute. Also into the mix are Sam's in-laws, mother-in-law Dymphna, and brother-in-law Cormac. He is a scene-stealer every time he's on screen. Such a sense of humour! He drops verbal hand grenades constantly. He is hilarious.
The series is fictional but reflects real-life, is typically Irish, and typically Baz. He has a knack for making really funny, but family friendly series. That's not to say this series is "clean", far from it. There are a couple of risqué moments in the series but even they are funny. Anyone who has seen Baz's "50 ways to kill your mammy" knows how much Baz values family. It is really obvious in this new series, too. He loves his tv family and it shows clearly how much we depend on family for support in tough times. Faithless is well-worth watching and I really hope a second season is made. The actors are very well cast and give really excellent and heartfelt performances. Ultimately, Faithless is a tale of the Amin family's journey in coping with a huge change thrust upon them whilst simultaneously navigating their own lives. Each character is relatable and has depth. Nice to see "mammy" aka Nancy has a small cameo in this series too. All-in-all a very touching and hilarious series which should definitely be back for another season.

I couldn't agree more with the review by Tm-sheehan. This show is a real gem!! I was hesitant to watch at first. It was on Amazon Prime and was a 24 minute show. I typically enjoy watching longer series (dramas) but I thought I would give the first episode a try. I'm so glad I did.
The way humour and sadness were perfectly melded together is a complete triumph of the writers and of course the actors. They are all wonderful but of course little Nancy steals the show. She is a wonderful little actress and as cute as a button.
You will have a love hate relationship with Uncle Zain. Sam is a poor grieving soul but with such a huge heart. His father is great comic relief.
The show just works wonderfully. I really hope there will be a second season because it ended with quite a big cliff hanger.
Two thumbs up for Faithless <3.

If you're looking for an amusing and touching little series and prepared to be interrupted by a few adds this little gem from Ireland will hit the spot .
I enjoyed the multi cultural family aspect of Faithless that successfully and sympathetically melds two distinctly different cultures Irish and Egyptian together .
Set in Dublin Sam Amin delightfully played by Baz Ashmawy through tragic circumstances finds himself a single parent to his three daughters .
Lina the eldest is challenging Layla choses to wear the Hijab which caused problems in a Catholic school and little Nancy who is played by a wonderful child actress named Carmen Rose Youssef thinks she's an elf .
Her performance alone is worth watching this series she is a darling old soul.
The household is joined by Sam's much loved but irresponsible and randy younger brother Zein also Uncle to the 3 sisters .
Uncle Zein is impressively played by Amir El-Masry.
I really warmed to this family of Irish battlers and their outlaws and in-law's especially their Dad Sam .
Sam Amin really tries and often succeeds to be both Mum and Dad to his daughters even while under great financial stress .
He lives in hope that his old typewriter will produce another novel or television script after a writing drought even when his literary agent had given up on his talent.
I found Faithless well worth watching and it leaves the door wide open for a second series.
It's 6 short episodes of Irish humour blended with Turkish delight.

¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesSam (played by Baz Ashmawy) has a scene with his real-life mother, Mrs. Nancy Ashmawy. Nancy was the "Mammy" in Baz's series "50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy". In that series Baz would coax his mum Nancy, (who is in her 70's) into taking part in activities like skydiving etc. along with him. A really great series too.
