There are many innocent Tamizhs who fall for Tamizh sentiments. They get worked up very easily thinking any other language will overtake them. Some policians use this sentiment, brainwash public to be in the power. Keerthi suresh has exactly tried doing the same thing to trick the people. But majority of the audience are smart and they can catch if this is a propaganda. Keerthi suresh by accepting this role shows the person she is coz someone who talks so deep shouldn't have acted in other language.
Anyways, watched 50% movie and it is boring to death. Usually Keethi suresh picks good subject roles but this time, audience Woll teach her a lesson.

Good movie to watch with family
Plus:.
Natural acting by Keerthi Suresh, MS baskar and co actors Good screen play Good background music.
Twist in interval No cinematic fights irritating love scenes Simple comedy with on flow comedy No sexual scenes so we can watch with family Good climax with good finishing
Minus : Some Loop holes Songs making slow down the movie Some cinematic scenes Little bit lagging in second half
Totally without expecting much we can watch this movie with family So good movie to watch family and children I am recommending this surely we can watch this movie one time.

When I saw Hombale is making a tamil film I got excited. After all they are known for films like Kantara which I liked too much. KGF also made lot of money but I have not watched. Took my entire family on a sunday to watch this. What a disapointment, appa!
It made me remember some 1960 tv serial. Amma, appa, full family. Only cracking jokes that too not funny more than half the time.
I also not like hindi imposition but when you watch a film it has to be entertainment. Not sleepy like this one.
My opinion hombale did a big mistake with this film. Hope they do not repeat. Else tamil people never go to hombale films again.

Keerthy Suresh in the titular role is reason enough to watch this film. With a strong ensemble of performers, it's debatable how the movie holds up as a whole.
The story is set in the 1960s, where a rebellious Tamil girl, guided by her strong ideologies and principles, eventually succumbs to patriarchal pressure as her grandfather nears the end of his life.
It's a fun and satirical take on the political climate of Tamil Nadu in the 1960s, particularly the anti-Hindi imposition protests. This sentiment still holds true to some extent today, with the state maintaining its resistance to Hindi. However, the weak screenplay causes the film to lag in many places.
Keerthy Suresh is in her element, delivering the solid performance one would expect from her. Kudos to the unconventional casting of Ravindra Vijay, who excels in his role. MS Bhaskar as the grandfather is decent, while Ismath Banu's well-written character adds organic humor to the film. Rajeev Ravindranathan and Devadarshini Sukumaran play familiar roles, as seen in their previous films, and master these characters.
Special mention goes to the art department, costumes, and cinematography, which bring the era to life in a believable way. The songs are average, and the comedic sequences work in parts. However, multiple plot threads feel too cinematic, reducing the believability of the story. The climax, in particular, feels overly dramatic and rushed.
As a debut work from director Suman Kumar, it's a decent effort, though it falls short of being truly gripping. Overall, it's an average movie, suitable for a lazy afternoon watch.

It started off slow, but soon the whole theatre was cracking up! A true wait-for-it! Kayal and her candid non-mind-voice reminds me of my own daughter! Great capture of the tamizh life without the rhetoric. And some scenes had everyone at the edge of their seats rooting for the victory of minor crime! Hilarious. A must watch for the whole family... aptly from the writer of Family Man! I particularly loved the music... and the effortlessly kickass lyrics right from the beginning! If anything I wish there were more gags and puns!
Good one SK... now that we know and love the characters, I'm totally waiting for the sequel featuring kama...
