Pune Highway is a tightly woven psychological thriller that unfolds in real time, turning a single location into a pressure cooker of tension, fear, and raw human emotion. The writing is sharp and nuanced, drawing you into a world where nothing is as it seems and every silence feels loaded. Performances across the board are stellar - natural, layered, and unsettling in the best way. The direction is confident, using space, time, and stillness with precision. Credit to the cinematography and sound design as well - both elevate the suspense and create a mood that lingers long after. A bold, intelligent film that proves you don't need scale to make an impact - just honesty, craft, and control.
What starts off feeling like an emotionally layered character drama soon morphs into something far more sinister - and the transformation is seamless. Pune Highway takes its time, building atmosphere, backstory, and dynamics, almost like a romantic novella set in motion. But don't be fooled by the slow intimacy of the first act - what follows is sharp psychological suspense. The shift in tone is beautifully executed, landing with quiet menace and shock. It's the kind of film that lures you in with warmth and familiarity, only to pull the rug out at just the right moment. A haunting, genre-bending experience with a killer payoff.
Pune Highway completely pulled me in. As someone who watches a lot of thrillers, this one really stood out-not because of flashy visuals or big plot twists, but because of how real and tense it feels from the very beginning. The film throws its characters into an unexpected crisis, and from that point on, it's just this steady build-up of emotional and moral pressure. The dynamics between the friends keep shifting, and you're never quite sure who's going to crack next. The writing is sharp, the performances are raw and convincing, and it constantly keeps you guessing without ever feeling forced. It's one of those films that lingers with you afterwards. If you're into thrillers that focus on characters and psychology over spectacle, this is a must-watch.
Just watched Pune Highway and at first I thought it was a murder mystery but it's not. It's more of a drama that slowly unfolds, and honestly, I kinda liked that by the end.
It's about friends stuck in a crisis, and things get really tense. The acting's solid, and it messes with your head in a subtle way. Not a typical thriller, but it keeps you hooked with a tense mix of fear and guilt, but it's also darkly funny in parts. The performances are uniformly great and emotionally on point.
Overall an unusual and compelling film to unpack. These days those are few and far between. Highly recommend if you like the unexpected.

An absolute surprise. The movie keeps you engaged throughout with amazing acting by all actors, relationships it portray and the way it unfolds. Its more than just guessing who is the killer. The world it creates, the people it brings to life and a human understanding to story with simplicity and craft. The way investigating officer's character is played with such humaity and conviction is rare to see in recent films. The way 3 friends, each very distinct and yet how they hold on to each other, the way matters of love & relationships are always grey. The choices character makes are so much more relatable and yet dramatic enough to keep us going. A must watch.
