another clueless 'ronin' style driving around pointless long car commercial

well, here's the thing when you watched this film. the actor is a very famous one, although not quite likable in certain way, but at least a good Scandinavian actor if you could give him a good screenplay to perform. but if you gave him a clueless script or even a bit ridiculous and clueless one, all he could do was follow the traffic flow, the direction of the storyline to move along or, maybe going nowhere. in this film, we got another aluminum suit case, a larger one than the one in 'ronin', to be goofed around in car trunks or to be carried along by the actor across borders to certain people. what's in it? you'd ask. the answer is 'none of your business. just watch and keep guessing; that's the beauty or ugliness of it." a regular passenger mid-sized or even small sized car by vw would have big enough horse power to follow, to catch up or even to intercept an over-a-hundred thousand $$$$ sports car? like all those mini coopers in 'the Italian job'? givemeabreak, will you?

    Mads makes it worth it

This was an interesting film. From what I've gathered, it was completely inspired by fans; which is a concept I like. The story is a little weak and there are holes in the plot, but the acting by Mads Mikkelsen more than makes up that. Mikkelsen is one of the most dynamic actors out there today; and unfortunately he does not get the credit he deserves. He is able to elevate an otherwise dull film into something worth watching. He is mysterious, charismatic, and able to draw you in. He can control the viewers interests by simply making a inconspicuous stare or changing the tone of his voice. He is by no means a cookie cutter actor. He makes you want to know more about him in this film and keeps you invested in what he's doing and how he's doing it. Definitely worth a watch if you want to see one of today's finest in action.

Not conceptual, but more than just good

Road movie is a long-time genre, and there are usually 2 types of them: a) a merry company is willing to experience new people and places b) a single person is willing to find his or her inner self or something/someone missing. For this matter, Move On is different, as the leading character has a task to fulfill (rather dubious one), but unintended changes in plans bring him into novel places and novel situations. The distances are long, and thanks to Europe's not-so-large-area, we see a lot of wonderful landscapes, towns and events - as the film is project-based and contains inputs from different views.

And in the center of all this - a magnificent Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, who is most of the time alone on the screen, are there are not many actors who could fill out the course of events, so you are not feel bored and try not to notice evident flaws and gaps in the plot, uneven run of the latter. Yet, there were some twists and gripping chases, but particularly due to Mikkelsen's performance, I can give strong 7 points to this film.

PS To those who saw Move On as a car commercial - it would have ridiculous to hide symbols on the cars :) For me, product placement was not conspicuous, I was focusing on other elements.

    I enjoyed it enough

'Move On' is an interesting one!

I've not researched it in-depth or anything (odd that it doesn't even have an English Wikipedia article) but it seems like this was some sorta experiment in that it's referred to as "the road movie inspired by you" and produced by Deutsche Telekom (aka T-Mobile). It definitely feels like something experimental, almost video game-y. It's nought perfect, but I enjoyed it enough somehow.

Road trip movies do tend to come out quite well as they seem relatively easy to keep interesting and (pardon the pun) moving. It features a solid display from Mads Mikkelsen, while those behind the lead are satisfactory. The look of this flick is pleasant throughout as it traverses Europe; on that note, the onscreen map did seem poorly added editing-wise... nothing major, just jars ever so minutely.

Not one to expect massive amounts from, but one that I'd suggest is worth a watch... though others disagree and I disliked Mikkelsen's 'The Hunt' which everyone loves so who am I to say!😄 I totally get the difference in opinion on this occasion, mind you... it just worked for me, that's all.

Mads plays so well, but the story is weak

I recently watched Move On from 2012, and I've got to say, it's a pretty impressive film. Mads Mikkelsen really shines in this one, you can tell he's fully invested in his character. It's almost as if he's not just acting, but living the role. His performance is so convincing that it blurs the lines between fiction and reality.

The plot of the movie is quite engaging, with a good mix of drama and suspense. It keeps you on your toes, wondering what's going to happen next. There's a certain depth to the storyline that I really appreciate, however I think the the overall depth of the movie is missing.

Visually, the movie is stunning. The cinematography and the locations are spot on, and it is nice to see what other parts of Eastern Europe that I don't know in real life have to offer.

The pacing of Move On is another aspect that stood out to me. It's well-balanced, with just the right amount of tension and relief. The movie doesn't rush through its story, but it doesn't drag either. It hits that sweet spot where you're entertained throughout but also left wanting more.

If I had to rate it, I'd give Move On a solid 8/10. It's a movie that stays with you after you've seen it, largely thanks to Mads Mikkelsen's stellar performance and the intriguing plot. Definitely worth a watch if you're into films that are a bit off the beaten path but thoroughly engaging.
