Watch at your own risk.
I do not know why I need to write at least 150 characters LMAO.
Jokes are either fatphobic or just straight up corny. OA and unbearable.

Shame on the writers that humor of this movie is still at the expense of the bigger actress. The fat jokes were unnecessary and unacceptable. It is painful to watch through the whole movie. Please do yourselves favor and don't waste your time on this one. Trying to think if there's any saving grace - but can't think of any.
I tried to watch this movie 'coz i like Jolina, and because i'm missing Filipino humor since I'm living in a foreign land now...so yeah, it's probably corny, but I'd take it hoping to get some good laughs. Unfortunately i just couldn't stand all the constant screaming and commotion in this movie, that i just had to stop watching it. There's a thin line between being funny and annoying, and this definitely crossed the annoying line by far! C''mon...Filipinos can make, and actually make better movies than this. There were some good script there but were poorly delivered/executed.
This is the definition of trying too hard to be funny. Momshies is a painful movie to sit through. It's uninteresting and dumb but not even in a funny/witty way. More like a painful and torturous way. Ninety percent of the time, the characters are just shouting inaudibly and worst of all, the movie was advertised absolutely everywhere, even a month after its release. This is the definition of awful. A 108 minute torture chamber.
*Pinoy ako at gets ko ang mga jokes sa pelikula.
"Momshies! Ang Soul Mo ay Akin!" is an awful film. Back when this film was still available for Cignal PPV, I was actually curious to watch it (I just didn't have enough money). I wanted to see how the hosts of "Magandang Buhay" do in a feature film. Sadly, when this became available of Netflix, the film was so bad and unfunny, I only saw 30-40 minutes. It proves that just because something is popular (a morning talk show) doesn't mean you should turn it into a feature film. "Momshies" tries so hard to be a Vice Ganda film (which I mostly enjoy) it forgot to make a good story and create non-despicable leads. Why is Karla Estrada's character supposed to be likable if, in her first scene, she fired an employee who was just doing her job. The film is also confused because the scene where Melai got fired was played for laughs and yet, a few minutes later, Melai's character is sad as she ponders how she can provide food for her family. Other people might like the movie (maybe moms) but, with the 2021 MMFF producers hoping that people would wait for Spider-Man: No Way Home and support local films, it's just annoying that as someone who actually wants to support local films, this is the type of film they give.
