A triumphant continuation of the TV series

Poignant and artistic. It capped off the character arcs mixed with a brilliant epilogue while also being a theatrical audiovisual spectacle (supported with revues that have one of the best visual directing in the medium). Not a single moment was wasted. Combined with the beautiful and colorful development of the characters (so be it facing their fears or separation), it was mesmerizing and it moved me to tears. A rare and good example of style and substance executed well. This is not just KINO, this is the entire CANNE FESTIVAL.

Curiosidades
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's "Faust" is repeatedly and explicitly referenced in all but name. A character directly quotes from Part Two, Act V, Scene VII, in Japanese (from the original German, "Wer immer strebend sich bemüht, den können wir erlösen"). Later, two other characters depict a wager with the Devil, signed in blood, as in Part One, Scene IV. This scene culminates with dialogue mirroring a key line also from Part One, Scene IV, repeated in Part Two, Act V, Scene VI (from the original German, "du bist so schön"), by which the Devil wins the wager (both in "Faust" and in this scene).
