Solid Effort...

My brothers saw this film at a UCR screening. I believe it to be a solid effort in directing and admire the filmmakers for taking on a S.W.A.T. sequence on "no-budget." Tan's choice of shots brought the story to life. He certainly has a feel for the action genre and I would encourage him to continue to hone his craft. Anyone who can throw this together and get S.W.A.T. to show up for a student film has a talent for managing people. Additionally, having seen so many student "art house" films it was nice to see a filmmaker emerging who is interested in working in a mainstream environment... Good choice of using a femme fatale, always a bonus and we constantly need strong female roles... Also, excellent musical score as. It really brought the tension needed to certain sequences and the opening music in the film is very catchy. Solid first effort!
