I think this film knows it's audience and caters to them well. It is almost like comfort food in a movie.
It's just a bit of a shame the script wasn't a bit better. Everything is just so predictable throughout the film and there seem to be plenty of storylines that don't really go anywhere.

A vessel for promoting some lovely Cornish scenery. That's all it is. If you want an intelligent story with unique twists and suspense then it's a good job you will be stuck on the A303 getting to see it. This is a painfully predictable film with a story so lazy it is a little insulting.
There are some likeable characters and some credible acting talent. But this project was created for the sake of it. There was never an intention to create a real film here. Just another transactional activity aimed at earning a few pounds £.
Every scene, whilst pretty, just collided into the next. The story develops at a rapid pace, ignoring the need for logic or feeling. It just wants to go from A to B and doesn't care how little sense it makes or what well trodden cliches it spews out.
This is a Sunday TV movie at best. With the rain pouring down outside and the family isolating from the next plague.
I hope that it helps to promote Cornwall because it really is a lovely place to visit. Even without the massive CGI sunsets.

I loved the first one, I'm 35 and it's not my genre of music or movie but I loved it, was one of the last I watched with my uncle before he passed.
I think either people are desperate to point score or it was written in to every contract for British film and tv that they have to acknowledge all this PC rubbish of this generation who want change without any work or changing themselves to be better people. It was so unnecessary in so many ways, I heard audible groans in the audience, people are so sick of it. It's creating a theme of good people hating on something that should be good, anyway it added to nothing and took some of the magic away.
The storyline was pointless really, they've aged a bit and now the guy thinks they're past it so won't give them a new deal, there's acknowledgment of a death In the group and a forced love angle where the couple had no chemistry. Plus an angle where a fisherman hates a farmer because I guess that's a thing. There was no magic, no natural innocence or excitement , it felt unnecessary, uninteresting and uninspired.
The thing is now there's so many remakes, sequels or spin offs I'm not sure the film industry can actually make as many top tier films.
The acting was alright, pretty bland, bar 2 or 3 the names you won't remember, some don't even speak! The Glastonbury stuff was awfully filmed and executed. Then there's the last song, dear god I just felt ashamed thinking of some group of imbeciles sitting patting themselves on the back for calling the final song "union of different colours" even though they sing the lyric as "kinds"
I don't understand why they think forcing it into everything will fix the ignorant, they're a bad kinda people who won't be taught easily.
The film lacked what made the first a solid 8.5/9. Music was good, that's the only thing stopping it from going to a 2.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the first movie, watchable but boring... Maybe a 4 or 5 out of 10; but my partner liked it and there wasn't much to choose from at the cinema this weekend so I reluctantly agreed to go with him. I entered the theatre with low expectations...
Boy was I pleasantly surprised! Yes, it's not blockbuster movie, nor worthy of an Oscar (most Oscar winners are overrated guff anyway) and a couple of the supporting cast members are very poor in regards to their acting talent.
BUUUTTTT overall it's enjoyable, heart warming and you leave with a smile on your face.
Worth a watch for sure, and believable or not, it is actually a true story.

Really liked the first film but this is even better. Funnier and more dramatic. Just the kind of feel-good movie we need in these dark times. Loved Imelda May and James Purefoy delivers a powerful and moving performance as Jim who is struggling with grief. Supporting cast are very funny and visually it looks amazing, definitely booking a holiday in Cornwall. Came out of the cinema with a big smile on my face feeling happier about the world.

- CuriosidadesThe sea shanty song ''Bound for South Australia'' was heard in the original 'Fisherman's Friends' (2019) film which was set and filmed in Port Isaac in Cornwall, England. The Yorke Peninsula in South Australia has a strong Cornish lineage and has strong connections with Cornwall through its Cornish culture, legacy and heritage.
- Créditos adicionalesDuring the end credits, scenes of the real Fisherman's Friends are shown in their van on the way to Glastonbury Festival to sing.
