Here in Ottawa, Canada we have a French T.V. station called TQS. They call themselves "Le Mouton Noir de Tele"; the black sheep of television. They show a lot of adult programming everyday, stuff you'd have to pay for to see in the U.S. and in most of Canada. The Quebecers are a lot more lax in what can be shown on T.V. This channel is showing a French-dubbed version of The Voyeur.
Yet another Marc Greenberg production, The Voyeur is a cheap-looking and lensed T.V. show, but its style of story-telling is leagues beyond the norm. Yes, there's some extremely explicit and real "philosophical discussions", but the sexy scenes are edited with the happenings that lead to the sex and afterwards as well. The film goes through the different time frames seamlessly and shows us the results of what the "discussion" leads to. It's a welcome change from the usual stuff you'd see on Cinemax.
I can't comment on the acting, but the French-dubbers do a great job in "shouting out from the pleasures of lovemaking". I'm guessing I'm being spared the usual horrid acting that these films encompass. Also, they don't even tell us who was in the cast. Fortunately, I've recognized some of the lovely ladies (they have a wide array of different looking beauties from the soft and hardcore film worlds). I've seen Flower Edwards, the ageless Gabriella Hall, and in a surprise, the infamous Jasmin St. Clair.
So yes, it's another slapped together production. However, it has something more to offer than most. If you have one of those "adult" channels, check it out.
