It's marketing time, not filmmaking, in the fifth edition of the series cashing in on the #1 hit of all-time in Adult Cinema history (Damiano's movie brought pornography to the masses). Too bad writer-director duties were assigned to Mr. No-Talent (a/k/a Ron Jeremy). The stupidity of the "story" and hodge-podge of sex scenes here is insulting.
Trying to follow along, we have four minutes of footage advertising the first four movies in the series, starring Linda Lovelace, Krista Lane, Aja and Victoria Paris. Jeremy follows with a sequel to Paris's edition (also directed by Ron Jeremy), following her success as a best-selling author of a sex manual. Supposedly she IS Linda Lovelace.
Story picks up with her dictating into a recorder her memoirs, which includes a subplot of her getting her job back as diner waitress from boss Wayne Summers by blowing him in the kitchen. Wayne's wife Sunny McKay figures he's been cheating with Victoria and tries to prove it by having sex with him (assuming he won't be able to perform a second time) but Wayne cums again. (Post-script has him giving her a partnership in the diner a year later with her royalties as an author, supposedly still working there as a waitress.)
The bulk of the footage consists of erotic dreams of orgies that Victoria has either in bed or falling asleep at the beach. They were instigated by a nonsensical college class in which her professor Eric Monti teaches the students about Roman orgies, specifically the technique of buttering up the inside of one's mouth to give deep throat. One orgy takes place in the classroom, the other outside at a pool with folks wearing togas (soon nude) and many top porn actresses participating and deep throating. Nerdy professor Monti actually got to have sex with Paris in Part IV.
Whether Jeremy shot Parts IV & V back to back or separately, it all adds up to nothing -just mindless sex footage. The edition III, starring Aja and directed by Jerome Bronson, was significantly better.
