work of the context - the celebration of a century from the conquest of national independence -, the series is a large fresco. the political command is not absent. but it is not the axis of a film more patriotic than nationalist. because it remains a remember and a honest homage to the heroes of Romanian independence. because the traits of characters are more than white/black drawings . because the experience of Sergiu Nicolaescu gives a precise and touching portrait of the Romanian society, using pieces from ordinaries lives for reflect a state , hope and motivation of heroism. so, a fresco. maybe, an useful one.
