Lawless: The Real Bushrangers

Overall I found it to be of interest, what I cant figure out is why there ground detection team in episode 3 "Ben Hall" were using small coils on there metal detectors. They were detecting in a lupin field the farmer had cleared for them, yet they used small coils meaning the depth was minimal for detection. I fell the plowing of fields for possibly 100 years might have driven the artifacts deeper, using larger coils would have allowed deeper penetration taking that into account and making a better search.

Still very interesting show, each episode im learning new things I never knew about bushrangers I grew up knowing.
