My daughter is two years old, and she absolutely loves this show. She is laughing, giggling and clapping throughout the entire show. When she hears that opening theme song she immediately start dancing to the catchy beat.
But what's there not to love about this show? There are dogs doing fun and cool tricks, a giant stuffed animal that can talk, and one of the best opening theme songs for a kids show. This show has a lot of appeal for children. The teacher Calvin has such a fun and exciting attitude, and helps make this show very entertaining to watch.
I actually enjoy watching this show with her as well. I think i get just as excited as she does when we hear that opening theme song. Because we both know that we're in for a treat.
I would recommend this show to any parent whose kids love dogs.

I loved this show until they started removing regular dogs from the original cast....Mr Shades has been a regular dog from day one. Now I find myself explaining his disappearance to my 2 year old. He's been our favorite and now I doubt we will continue watching. Also, Cricket the dog rarely gets airtime! As for young Calvin I think he's doing a wonderful job. I have seen his acting get much better as the show goes on. I wish him luck as I think he will go far.It seems to me they continue to add more puppets to the show. Which is fine.I just wish they would stick with all the original dogs. Its tough explaining where they have gone to a toddler/ preschooler. I'm very disappointed!

Greysen loves Mutt & Stuff and so do I. Very cute, fun, positive, lots of great activities.....Shows manners, discipline, educational....great for young and old......Grammy likes it too. Be happy is a good way to go and this show is nothing but, happy!!!! How can you not love the Milan family....Dogs are all terrific and well trained, love the new mouse.....Dancing, singing, all smiling and good natured. Greysen is a dog and animal lover so he can connect to each of these critters. A must show for all kids. Greysen always finds something he really likes in each of the shows. He leaves the program with a fun attitude and learned a new lesson from each one. An asset to TV where there is so much negativity on it...Keep this one going. KUDOS to Mutt & Stuff and each of the crew....love you
...... but it's a really bad show! I can't figure out if it has educational purposes or if it is just bout children seeing dogs and saying they are cute! I hate my life everytime I see it!
The little boy I watch during the week (1.5 years old) loves puppies, so it's a great show for him. It may not have "educational value" in the sense of things kids would learn in school, but it does teach kids how to interact with dogs, which I believe is very important for children. Children need to be taught how to treat and interact with animals. If they don't know the proper way to treat and interact with animals, they have a higher chance of getting hurt by an animal, which at that point it's not really the animal's fault for doing what their instinct is when they feel threatened. I also think it's a great "break show" from all the others that do teach traditional educational topics. Yes, it's great to have shows to assist in teaching kids, but anyone old enough to have kids can't possibly say they didn't watch anything without educational value. It's OK to let kids watch something just because it's fun every now and then. You can't rely solely on educational programs to teach your kids, so what's the harm in letting them watch something that's just cute, as long as it entertains them? And if it doesn't entertain them, so what? Not every show is going to attract the attention of every child. My advice is give it a chance and if your kid doesn't like it, oh well.
