I knew this was going to be bad when I realised, two minutes in, that D'Elia has that desperately annoying habit of saying "like" in the way normal people use commas. He'd said like, so often, that I couldn't hear anything, it became white noise. It didn't help that it seemed he'd taken 80s comedians' advice and, presumably, snorted a couple of lines before taking the stage. Frantic, sweaty, incoherent does not make for the best stand up.
I made it 9 minutes in. If you saw Pauly Shore's Christmas Story appearance in the first season of Mad TV, where he tells a totally incoherent story about eggnog for 10 minutes? Same deal. But worse. Not just because it's not 1993 anymore and comedy has evolved, but also because we already had a Pauly Shore man, the clone has no business anywhere.
D'elia enters and starts storytelling in a way that you are not prepared for. I had to stop at minute 38:10, because i couldn't breathe anymore, like a normal person. I literally had to control myself and breath slowly with the show paused before i pass out. Loved it, thats how comedy supposed to be in my humble opinion. Give it a try, please.
I'll just say that I'm a fan of Chris D'Elia. He's had some really good shows, but this one is honestly a complete pile of crap. It feels like he just made every joke up on the spot and got his rich dad to rent a theater for him. This is probably one of the worst stand up routines I've ever had the misfortune of seeing.
Each joke is stretched out and emphasized to waste as much time as possible, and the jokes seriously aren't even funny. You can almost feel the disappointment of the audience. If you want to see a funny Chris D'eila show, watch 'White male black comic'.
Please do yourself a favor and don't buy/rent/watch this train wreck. Peace

I usually don't bother to write reviews for anything older than a year, but there are way too many negative reviews of this special on IMDB. Before I dive into the positives of this special, I will concede what I believe are issues with D'Elia's comedy. He does tend to stretch out his jokes for too long. Furthermore, too many of his jokes are sexual in nature. Finally, the mannerisms and body language that D'Elia employs are sometimes funny, but also sometimes irritating.
Now, here are the reasons why I still believe this to be a solid stand-up special. His jokes consistently connect back to previous jokes in humorous ways. I appreciate the level of enthusiasm he brings to his comedy. You can tell that he genuinely loves his profession. Many of his jokes are spot on, and provide relatable material. His comments about men who wear NFL jerseys are completely accurate, and I think about this stand-up act whenever I see an adult wearing a NFL player's jersey. For this reason, the stand-up special left an indelible impact.
While this stand-up special might not be one of the best on Netflix, it's definitely still worth a watch.
Pros and Cons Summary
+Great skit on the NFL and wearing professional athlete jerseys
+Great skit on babies
+Relatable material on dating
-Too much of his comedy is sexual in nature
-Body movements can be excessive at times
-Some jokes are stretched out for too long
