Malakai Tyne Bisel is an award-winning writer, director, and producer with a lifelong passion for filmmaking. A former touring musician in the Midwest, Malakai draws from his artistic roots to create films that blend drama, comedy, and in-depth character exploration. His latest film, "Dead-End Dreams," has garnered multiple awards, including Best Film and Best Cinematography at BIFF, and Best Narrative Feature at both Sky Arts and Manhattanhenge Film Festivals. Malakai is also a producer and director of the acclaimed documentary "Bloom", which won the Pitchdox Grand Prize. In addition to his own work, he has contributed to projects with Investigation Discovery, HBO, and various commercial productions, bringing his unique vision and experience to each collaboration. With a deep belief in the power of narrative, Malakai continues to push boundaries in both film and storytelling.
