David Matheson(VI)

David Matheson is a multi-faceted writer, musician, and filmmaker from Toronto, Canada. After completing an education in literature, history, philosophy, and screenwriting across four separate institutions -The University of Western Ontario, The University of Toronto, King's College London, UK, and Vancouver Film School - David consolidated his passions, influences, and experience into DMC Productions, a creative media company. With DMC, he's worked with children's entertainment company, TBE Inc., adapting their children's books into a pilot screenplay and bible, and developing/directing a pilot animatic, as well as MOJO Global Arts, where he specialized in development, writing script coverage and creating pitch decks. In 2024, after co-producing several short films and music videos with colleagues, David self-produced, wrote, and directed his short film, "Apnea". David is inspired by work that is psychologically interrogating, philosophically provocative, and deeply intimate.
