Next Stop Hollywood

I stumbled upon a DVD copy of this documentary series recently and was pleasantly surprised that it is more in the style of a traditional documentary series rather than a hyped up reality show.

The story follows the ups and downs of 6 Aussie actors as they pitch themselves for lead roles on big Hollywood TV series. The shows makers did a fantastic job enlisting a variety of actors to follow, who regardless if you like them or not, keep you engaged through the entire show. I particularly enjoyed watching Craig's hilarious adventures unfold which surprisingly brought me to tears as things got emotional towards the end.

Without giving too much away, a few years on from when this series was produced it is now easy to see that against the odds a couple of these actors actually do end up 'making it' in Hollywood, including one who is now a lead on a major US series currently in it's 6th season. I highly recommend you check out Next Stop Hollywood - it is well worth the watch!
