Max und Moritz - Eine Bubengeschichte in sieben Streichen

Two versions of this movie were created at the same time, one in German and one in English. Since the original poem is German, this version should be considered the original version. The English version used the original translation of the poem made by Charles Timothy Brooks in 1871, using the title of that version as the title for the English version of the movie: "Max and Maurice - A Juvenile History in Seven Tricks". Due to some difference in length of the English text, the timing of the English version is different and cannot be considered a mere dubbing. While the original German version runs 18 minutes, the English one is 20 minutes in length.
