About seven months before her untimely death in August 2022, Anne Heche was asked who she would like to play her in a movie about her life. Kristen Bell was one of the two she named who played her daughter in this movie and who Anne said reminded her of herself. She said it was no accident that she played her mom years ago.

When Gracie is at work filling out an application for a scholarship her hair is in a brown headband. When she is running up to the hospital after getting the phone call her hair is back in clips, one on each side. When she walks into the hospital room her hair is back in the headband again. This could be because they originally had her grandmother go to the hospital earlier in the story and they used the same running clip. Earlier in the story her hair was in the two clips.

An incredible movie!!!!

I found this movie so touching that I named my daughter Gracie. I hope that my daughter is as strong as this movie portrays Gracie. It was a very emotional movie, but it really made you acknowledge the turmoil that goes on in our own country. There are a lot of children that are probably raising their siblings or at least highly contributing to their raising. It is very sad when this is a result of the abuse and neglect that occurs. If you enjoy true stories, and aren't afraid to shed some tears, this is an incredible movie with a very true, yet very emotional story line. If I was asked to rate this movie on a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 21! I very highly recommend this movie!!!
