A boy from a small town has never kissed a girl. So one day he and his friends decide to go to the 'big city' to see if they have more luck there. In the city, the boys get much more than they bargained for.

The film shows a strong bond between two brothers who live in a remote fjord with their parents. We look into their world through the eyes of the younger brother and follow him on a journey marking a turning point in the brothers' lives.

Shida is the new kid in class in a private boarding school in Tanzania. He is shy, he has no self-esteem, he does not speak one word of English - the primary language in the school, and he suffers from albinism. Like most children with albinism in the country, Shida was taken away from his parents to be protected from the witchcraft related killings. The film follows Shida during his first year at a new school where the rules are strict and tolerance low. He is trying his best to meet the demands. The school is a chance for an education and to escape a life on the bottom of society. With the help from his new friend, Allan, he is struggling to become better in school and to be accepted by the teachers and pupils.

A 10-year-old girl discovers that the house breaks, piece by piece, the more parents quarrel. She can't make them stop and disappears in the night. A mysterious night bus full of children picks her up. The next day everything is normal. Was it all just a dream?

As day turns into night it becomes harder and harder for the actors to distinguish between their own self and the character, between fiction and reality.

Skybreak is a story about a mysterious visitor who offers a mother and daughter a last chance to find each other. At a way-station somewhere between life and death, the women have a final conversation together. Will they have the courage to go all the way?
