I'm honestly impressed by how much of the actual trial is being shown, knowing this comic I kinda expected it to skip all of this.

Also, I have to ask, legitimately why even bother with censoring like that anymore at this point?

It's like the only Trial that feels like it has an idea behind it as well, every other trial is just random sparring until Joy somehow passes lol I'm actually kind of annoyed that it keeps getting cut off by the comparatively really boring and meaningless Courage crap.

Oh, not every other--the Love trial had Joy fuck Drake a few times and then find the strength to kick Hope's ass.

And it makes me kinda ill to recall that.

God the Love Trial chapter sucked so hard. That's also the one that those dumb hyenas were introduced in who apparently use their Clan powers for popular concerts even though you're supposed to keep that stuff a secret. And also had Joy somehow sparring with her father to the point of exhaustion even though he's like 2 massive ranks above her, and then he was the one who somehow beat Ayah. And it's also just a wasteful Trial because you should probably save the one that involves Joy's mother for down the road anyway.

So many major problems down the road are going to be traceable back to that mess lol

I just can't get over the fact that literally the reason why Joy couldn't beat Hope at first is because she was a virgin. This whole series' terrible lessons about love, sex and women in general just keep piling up.

And of course now it's been written in that Love Clan members are naturally unable to commit to a relationship and just want to be fucked all the time by whoever's available, utterly destroying the image of Grace that had been built up for ages in the process and turning Kayin into a gleeful cuck, so uh, yeah, so much for Joy and Drake's happy little anime red-string-of-fate romance, cause he's gonna have to share her with everyone who catches her attention.

What was the motivation behind making them be unable to maintain a closed relationship? Are open relationships just a fetishist the writers have or something?

It's not even open or poly relationships, there's nothing wrong with those if done well, it's more like the concept of any sort of committed ones doesn't even land with them. And really it just contributes to displaying what a terrible misunderstanding of "love" this comic carries.
