Crocus vernus Jeanne d'Arc

Absolutely the best white crocus available – no wonder, as it is the only large-flowered white crocus still being grown today. In the photograph it is planted with Lucile’s Glory-of-the-snow, Scilla mischtschkoana and a few Vanguard crocuses. As Jeanne d’Arc has a very clear white colour, it also looks wonderful in a pot to brighten up a terrace.

This beautiful white crocus looks particularly impressive when planted close together in groups of 10 to 15 corms, writes Jacqueline van der Kloet in her book. It also goes well in lasagne planting pots and belongs to the top level (different bulbs in 2 or 3 levels in a single pot).
