A rubbing- or polishing-machine used to finish the surface of a mosaic floor. It consists of a heavy horizontal disk, or rubber, supported upon a vertical shaft and operated by a small electric motor. The machine is mounted on a carriage, having rubber-tired wheels to prevent injury to the floor, and is fltted with a sand-box and water-tank, and with pipes for delivering the sand and water to the work. The machine is drawn over the floor by the operator. -
