The APS Kompetitor series of AEG's are meant to bring high quality internals and intermediate level performance to a more affordable platform.Out of the box, the Kompetitor series of M4 Carbines feature the APS V2 Metal HYBRID gearboxes with an electric blowback feature for added realism. The HYBRID gearbox is the same one that can be found on APS's higher end models of AEG's so it shares the same features such as a QD spring change system to allow for quick spring swaps without disassembling the gearbox. Quality has not been compromised in favor of value; these rifles are built with high quality reinforced polymer receivers, grip, stock, and handguards. Metal parts include the barrel, delta ring, charging handle, and buffer tube.An excellent choice for anyone looking to get started in airsoft but want higher quality internals as well as performance that can stand up to other intermediate level AEG's.

"I bought this M4 a couple years ago as my first airsoft gun and has served me extremely well. I can say it’s a great starter gun, although I have trouble sometimes with the recommended battery (9.6v 1600mAh small butterfly) fitting in the barrel hand guard. I can manage to squeeze it in but it is also slightly exposed with the holes in the hand guard. I have only ran into issues with the battery more than the gun itself.

Overall great gun, worth the price for beginners, low maintenance

"Bought this M4 Years ago and still works like a charm. Only upgraded the precision to a 6.01mm Barrel that was 25mm longer, made grouping tighter and made accuracy at 80% of it's max effective range increase by about 10%, and gained 15 FPS roughly. This gun is not only an insane deal out of the box but is extremely upgradable and already has quite good quality parts. APS is made in china and people have said china made not have great products but I respectfully disagree. China based products can be very high quality and this gun is a great example of that.

My Only Con with this gun is that I have mag alignment problems resulting in feeding problems when using other M4 Hi-cap mags based on the way this Magazine was designed and you cannot buy this specific magazine seperately. The simple fix to this I see would be to just swap over another M4 Magwell then buy a bunch of Hi-cap Mags for this gun.

I Also highly recommend to pick up an additional battery for this gun and if you buy this gun, buy the accessory rail version, not the standard version. You can note this by the pictures. Same price, yet you get more accessory rails for a grip or M203 Grenade launcher.

In summary: All in all for the price, it's a Very Well designed and Highly flexible Upgrade platform M4 for beginners or if you just want a reliable and somewhat averagely powerful and accurate gun.
