Introduction
For moms like me, who had a difficult twin pregnancy, it is natural to assume that once the babies are born and home from the NICU things will get easier. Looking back, I think my pregnancy was the easiest part of becoming a twin mom. I say that from the perspective of someone whose twins are now in kindergarten.
I do have good news for all the other new twin moms out there. Every stage your children go through is different and comes with different challenges. If you feel like you are about to lose your mind just have patience because most likely this too shall pass.
If you read my first book you know that I am just a twin mom. I have no formal training. I am not an expert in child development. My books are all about the things I wish someone had told me. My twin daughters are my only children so I have no clue what it would be like raising a single child instead.
Like most moms, I am just muddling through each day and trying to do the best I can for my kids.
I hope that this book can help other twin moms who are earlier on their journey not make some of the mistakes I did.
I want to share what worked for us and what didn't.
Every family is different. Every mother is different. Every set of twins are different. I hope that the advice I have can help you along your journey as a twin parent. Take from this book what works for you and discard the rest. You may also find that what works changes as you and your children grow.
Let me start by sharing the thing I feel is of most importance to a mom of twins. I
