Remember Me - Charna Ainsworth
The Promise
I love the knowing part
of destiny.
The most certain certainty
that characters will develop over time.
The pens will come
and they will go
but the thoughts will continually flow
from the brain that knows
to the paper that holds
the words that fulfill the promise.
The promise of a brighter day
that will most certainly
come my way.
The chapter has been closed
on yesterday
of weeping and mourning.
They no longer pertain
and certainly can’t stain
the stark white paper
set before me today.

Reflections
When I look into your eyes
I always know where I belong,
as you would see the sky
mirrored on a motionless lake.
Shining your light into me…
when looking at you, nothing else I can see.
Your name is written on this heart of mine,
as if it had happen from the beginning of time.
Always with you through all the years,
whenever I see me, I will know I am there.
Reflecting back from those precious eyes,
just stop; now, take a deep look into mine.
Glaring like stars in the night sky,
you’ll see all the reasons to my life.
The Door
The deep emptiness I saw
