Anthony Rawlings
Anthony J. Rawlings has over 35 years of extensive experience in Law Enforcement and Safety and Security work. In 2009, he retired from the City of Atlanta police department after 29 years of dedicated service. During his 29 year tenure, Rawlings served in the patrol unit for 8 years and spent 21 years as a Police Investigator for various investigative units, including narcotics, robbery, homicide, youth squad and school detective units. In 2008, Rawlings began working as a Security Analyst for 5-0 Protective Agency. In his role as Security Analyst for 5-0 Protective Agency, he provides security assessments, security details and safety plans for businesses, individuals and private schools. In 2009, Rawlings began working for the Atlanta Public Schools system as a Security Analyst. Mr. Rawlings is as a Lead Instructor for APS, overseeing the training of over 100 APS safety coordinators and 99 schools. Rawlings has been very instrumental in developing the first formal training program for School Safety Coordinators. He also co-authored the very first training manual written specifically for Atlanta Public Schools safety coordinators, titled “Understanding How to Construct a School Safety Plan”, which has been reviewed the State of Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA), the Atlanta Police Department School Detectives Unit, Atlanta 911 Emergency Center and Computer Voice Stress Analyst and retired Police Investigator, Rick Turner to ensure that the content is in compliance with the best available safety practices and policies. Additionally, he is a District Instructor for CPR/AED and a Basic First Aid Instructor. In addition to Mr. Rawlings numerous responsibilities, he continues to serve the citizens of Atlanta as a reserve police officer for the City of Atlanta.
