About this ebook
Ben's long time dream was to turn his basement into a Man Cave. His vision included building a bar, putting 3 televisions on the wall, having stools, a couch, refrigerator and card table where he and his friends could relax and watch sport. He was able to achieve his dream when his kids grew up and moved out of his house.
He was thrilled on the first night of operation when he invited his friends to watch an endless amount of sport on 3 screens and to drink cold beer. They all thought that they were in heaven, Sport's Heaven.
Circumstances changed for Ben, however, when other members of his family became interested in enjoying the pleasures of his Man Cave.

I was born in Cincinnati and grew up in the American Mid-West. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received a Masters in Education from the University of Cincinnati. I became a teacher and found a job teaching English and Film and Television at Trinity Bay State High School in Cairns, Australia. As a teacher I wrote many One Act Plays that students enjoyed performing in. I became the Rugby coach at the school and began writing novels that my students could read, relate to and understand. I decided to publish the novels under the name of Teen Friendly Books. At present I have 24 written and 15 published. My plan is to write many more books for teens to read and enjoy.

ACT 1
SCENE 1
The scene is a man cave, a room filled with everything that every man who is a sports fanatic holds dear to them. On the wall are posters of great players in football, baseball, and basketball.
A huge sign is on the wall that says, BEN’S PLACE
A few signed footballs and basketballs are on pedestals around the room. Hats of sport teams hang on the wall and pennants of universities and local high schools are pinned to the walls.
A bar is against one wall with bottles on shelves at the back of it. Three bar stools are in front of the bar.
A table for playing cards sits in the other corner of the room with four chairs around it.
A large sofa sits in the middle of the room. It is big enough for someone to comfortably sleep on. Next to it is a lazy-boy.
Three big screen televisions are placed around the room where the people in the room can watch the sports action on them.
A man in his fifties walks onto the stage with a huge smile on his face.
BEN
Finally finished, and all mine, all mine, all mine. Ben’s Place. Ben’s Place, what a great place to be.
(He sits in the lazy-boy and reclines in it. He looks around as the smile continues to glow and grow. He turns the three televisions on and looks from screen to screen.)
I don’t think that heaven can be better than this.
(He takes the remote and changes to a music channel and the song Sweet Chili woman comes on. He stands up and dances to the music as he sings along with the words.)
(A woman in her early fifties walks onto the stage and watches the dancing and singing. She taps the man on his shoulder.)
CATHY
Hey, don’t get too carried away. I don’t want you to break a hip trying to dance like you did thirty years ago.
(He grabs ahold of her and starts to dance.)
BEN
I’m still movin and a groovin.
CATHY
You were not the best dancer back then, and you are certainly not impressing me with your movin and a groovin now.
BEN
I’ve saved some very special moves for you.
CATHY
Forget about your moves before you do some physical damage to yourself.
BEN
The kids are gone. My dream, my big project is finally finished, and I want to celebrate by dancing in my new man cave.
CATHY
It is good that it is a man cave, and no woman will have to witness your strange way of moving about the dance floor.
BEN
You used to like the way that I danced.
CATHY
Yeah, I drank a lot of alcohol in those days and never remembered much after I woke up the next day.
BEN
I remember us dancing the night away.
CATHY
In amongst thirty to fifty other bad dancers.
BEN
You are
