Frankly, we feel crushed by enormous difficulties when one has the intention, albeit with the help of other authors, to give a plausible picture of the possible ‘external’ influences on the historical-social, I dare say anthropological, development of Humanity on Earth. Yet this immodest purpose our research group has proposed.

Beginning with a few ideas, which will be exposed in these lines, during the creative phase of the essay it was realized that the discourse generally tended to grow too much, reaching levels of multidisciplinarity that could lead to continuous new interpretative and explanatory problems. Our limit as human beings, the impossibility of going ‘beyond’ certain philosophical and technological questions, eventually took over, making us remain with the facts presented in the work. However, we are convinced that we have done everything possible to make certain topics public knowledge and that the definition ‘hot’ would be the minimum. But, at least for whoever is writing this Introduction, how did this whole story really begin?

In 1998 I was the first Italian to reach the extraordinary plateau of Marcahuasi in the Andes of Central Peru, a marvelous Amerindian rock fresco, whose prehistoric mysteries were later described by me in the essay The Amazon Empire[1]. The enormous structures in the shape of humans and animals, sketched on the rocks of the plateau probably by an ancient, unknown civilization, had greatly impressed me.

Having taken several photographs of these ‘organic’ structures, so called by the first discoverer of the plateau, Dr. Daniel Ruzo in 1952, I was looking at that period for geological confirmation on the possibility that the executors of these remarkable megalithic ‘frescoes’ could belong, to what was said in Peru, in an antediluvian era.

Through a writer acquaintance of mine, L. Bat Adam, I came into contact in the spring of 2000 with prof. Floriano Villa, a very famous geologist (he died in 2014), a disciple of the great Ardito Desio, whose many deeds around the world and in the Himalayas everyone has always admired (I myself, among other things, had personally known Desio, several years earlier, for reasons related to my thesis in Economic History).

The meeting with Villa thus took place in April 2000 in his studio in central Milan. An account of this meeting can be read in the article L’ultima Civiltà (i.e. The Last Civilization) published in the magazine Nexus in nos. 60 and 61 but, essentially, this happened: the professor, after learning of my Peruvian investigations and after a few minutes of (mutual) tension and fear, understood that I was a pure explorer, simply passionate about the many mysteries of our World, without any ulterior motive and, after having brought his assistant out of the room, he told me that, from his professional activity and from the oddities that had happened to him in the course of an entire lifetime, he had remained absolutely convinced that human civilizations were cyclical, they recurred after hundreds of thousands, millions of years, and therefore different human phases of cultural ascent and decline had occurred, over the course of immemorial times.

He himself, he told me for example, had been personally involved in what he called the Nice Case. When, in the 1960s, as a young geologist, during construction excavations in Nice they wanted to build a shopping centre he had witnessed the discovery of remains of houses and apartments of a modern type, complete with toilets, existing in virgin clay layers under the city, layers dated to at least 600,000 (six hundred thousand) years. Naturally, the intervention of members of the Western Secret Services had prevented the news from leaking out.

Obviously, Villa had never been able to report all this during his university lectures: they were Top Secret topics, but now that he had left the academic environment after tens of years of teaching (about forty years) during our subsequent meetings which took place practically on an annual basis, the professor summarized his ideas and experiences for me, which today can be described with these concepts, which I believe are worthy of note.

First point — Human civilizations are cyclical in nature.

They develop and then disappear, self-destruct or are destroyed by natural catastrophes from Earth or space (impact of asteroids and comets), after huge intervals of time. In fact, human skulls of the modern type (of the Sapiens Sapiens type) have been found in geological strata defined as ‘certain’ by Science — i.e. there have been no intrusions from other geological strata — from millions of years ago, even in Italy. (A sensational case was the discovery in Castenedolo in the province of Brescia, in the second half of the 19th century, of a modern female skull in a layer of at least two million years ago, if not even five million). It would be a good example of what Mystery Archaeology defines as OOPART (Out Of Place Artifacts).

Second point — Scientific conferences behind closed doors.

Several scientists talk about it among themselves, in international meetings, but maintaining absolute confidentiality. Some meetings concerned the unexplainable in conventional terms of the prehistoric formation of some mountain ranges (generally young mountains, such as the Andes, for example, or our own Alps) present on Earth: some incredible explanations emerged in these Top Secret meetings and have called into question impressive concepts such as that of artificial orography (that is, the formation of mountain ranges as phenomena desired by an intelligent design of a human or preter-human type), or even the Indian Vedic Chronicles — perhaps the more faithful representations of the ancient history of the Earth and of human beings, as Villa told me — where atomic explosions of enormous power, due to atomic wars of the past, had contributed to raising some of the best-known mountain ranges from the marine waters.

Third point — In our current technological civilization the balance must not be altered.

This is what those who hold the real power want — everyone can understand which sectors we are referring to, especially in these times. The ‘balances’ are of all kinds, social, cultural, historical-religious, but above all economic-technological, even to the detriment of the earth's environment, of love for true progress and true science (which by now would no longer exist, given that by now even pure research would be exclusively affected by the economic factor).

Consequently, as a pure example, with petroleum as an energy source we would have to go on for a while longer — at least a century — because technological development and its relative leaps, with the use of other cleaner and more low-energy forms of energy cost, has actually already been programmed only through technological steps, hundreds of years apart from each other.

The transfer of technology would therefore be programmed by who commands and would be the result of agreements with those who can sell new technologies, already existing, but for the moment considered prohibited.

Leonardo da Vinci, Nikola Tesla, Viktor Schauberger, Wilhelm Reich and, in the specific case we will be dealing with, the engineer Alessandro Porro, together with many others, have actually tried throughout history to shorten these very long times already planned and agreed by the powerful, but they didn't fully succeed, or were even prevented from doing so. By any means.

In any case, in the autumn of 2005, my personal research, despite the annual meetings with the professor, had now reached a dead end: Villa had certainly collaborated secretly in the 1960s with a small group of ‘frontier’ researchers which included In addition to him, an engineer, a journalist, a doctor and an artist who acted as secretary of the group and very few other people, but in any case privately and in any case within their respective families. The discoveries of this handful of seekers had been amazing, incredible, maybe too much. The problem was that all this enormous research work had been ‘secreted’ by the players themselves and, furthermore, starting from the mid-seventies, the group had disbanded and the professor had lost all trace of his old friends.

What to do then? I was very indecisive and bitter. On the advice of the Director of Nexus magazine, Tom Bosco, I decided to have the article The Last Civilization, quoted above, published as a bait. If any of the professor's friends had still been alive, reading Nexus (a leading magazine in the sector of alternative publications, and of international diffusion) he could have tried to get in touch with the undersigned. I had made some slight chronological changes compared to what Villa had told me just to attract more attention from the main actors, and maybe get corrected. I was lucky: in a short time, Mrs. Luciana Petruccelli (who died in 2010), who had been the secretary of the secret research group, contacted me.

In one of our meetings in Liguria (Sori) in 2006, Luciana confirmed everything to me: everything that had been told to me by Professor Villa was absolutely true, moreover she herself had kept part of the classified documentation of that period, and finally she was able to let me meet with the Journalist who for almost ten years had then followed and annotated all the searches in a Diary: Mario Miniaci, Journalist for Il Corriere della Sera and La Domenica del Corriere, at the time of the secret research. This was my next, and definitive, contact.

Mario Miniaci had lived in isolation for more than thirty years in a villa in the beautiful woods of Varesino, near Lake Varese: a remarkable and fascinating character, a true gentleman from another era with whom I soon became friends. He was then already over ninety, but still wore it very well (he died at the end of 2009, and I went to see him for the last time about twenty days before he left).

Certainly, Miniaci remembered everything: the Porro Case, as he called it, had been the most impressive event of his life, and also for this reason he had decided to eclipse himself and stay in peace and discretion for 35 years But of course he told me, he would like to see Professor Villa again. They hadn't seen each other for a great many years.

Thus a dinner was organized, at Miniaci's house, with his sons, Professor Villa and the writer. It was an exciting event, and not just for me. A hidden, mysterious, lost and forgotten story of Italy in the middle of the last century, but which, if true, could have interested the whole history of the Earth, of human knowledge and of our entire Cosmos, came back to light in the memories of those people out of the ordinary, on that evening in Varese in October 2007.

The fulcrum of the whole affair, they told me, had been the invention of an extraordinary dowsing tool, called an Electronic Diviner, a device invented by the engineer Alessandro Porro at the end of the 1950s. Through some articles by Mario Miniaci which appeared in La Domenica del Corriere in the early 1960s, Porro's electronic water diviner had enjoyed a certain notoriety, and the instrument, in the hands of its creator, had contributed to the discovery of some important archaeological finds and to oil, gas and hydrogeological research.

But suddenly, just as popular notoriety had appeared, everything had returned to the shadows. What had happened? This: according to Engineer Porro, the instrument worked too well, it could see and sound dowsing up to 800-1000 meters deep, something unthinkable even for our current georadars, thus revealing an incredible prehistoric past for our Italy, for Europe and the whole world.

Traces of a Humanity of tens of millions of years ago, traces of tremendous geological upheavals, of wars between worlds, of cultural decline and of new Humanities. In short, our current society is truly the Last Civilization in chronological order, but there have been other previous, fabulous civilizations, and there will be many more... And it will always be like this, until the physical end of our Planet when, in five billion of years, our current Sun, having changed into a giant star, will literally devour us — an alternation of cosmic chronological ups and downs, both on the Earth and throughout the history of the universe.

The discoveries had obviously been too invasive and shocking, striking at the root of the very existence of the research group, which had effectively disbanded around 1974 after a shocking meeting on Lake Garda with the mysterious Guardians of the Evolution of this current human society.[2]

These Watchers would be special people, human beings who are born, live and die exactly like us, but who at the same time are endowed with Hereditary Memory: genetic heirs (through the paternal way, in this specific case) not only of genetic inheritance of the parents like all of us, but also of the memory of the life lived and of the knowledge achieved by their Ancestors, up to hundreds of thousands, millions of years ago. People too important for the world power groups, with which they collaborate and of which they themselves are sometimes part. Men destined for the evolutionary/technological control of our Planet, who lead Science towards new great discoveries for our World only when it is believed that the right time has come.

So let's try to describe a recent secret story of the last century on the basis of all this.

Starting from the first decades of the 20th century it is plausible that some scientists began to realize that something was not right in the official history of the Earth and its most precious inhabitants, human beings.

It is possible that some of the most capable scientists have begun to realize that, for various reasons, behind legends such as the Hollow Earth, the oldest known historical-religious tales (for example, the Vedic Wars), the tales of explorers who survived apparently impossible, to the appearance of mysterious celestial phenomena, could exist another historical and scientific truth.

A still charismatic and mysterious character like Georges I. Gurdjieff and some of his disciples, like the Frenchman René Daumal for example, or a normal investigative intelligence activity, could have revealed some secrets to some scientist, or by initiation to some politician, to some entrepreneur inclined to believe, more open-minded and with large financial means to be employed in secret research.

From the personal experience of the writer, we have fully realized how apparently distant fields such as Science, Politics, Religion, History and Esotericism are actually connected by very contiguous people, situations and events even if unsuspected or deemed impossible.

All this could then give an explanation, for example, to the apparently absurd researches of some German scientists and explorers carried out under Nazism (for example the researchers Otto Rahn and Edmund Kiss), engaged in the search for sacred relics, eager to discover underground worlds, ready to set up ways for a new science radically in conflict with the recognized and official one at that time.

Basically, behind all this, starting from the mystery of UFOs (terrestrial or extraterrestrial Flying Saucers) up to the beginning of the Fifties, with the controversial Adamsky case for example, it is believed that there was a sort of news leak not better defined and qualified, but important.

Something could actually have happened and someone else could have realized the existence of a more shocking reality concerning the history of the Earth and the real current situation.

We then come to the early 1960s: it is from this post-war period that the direct testimonies of those with whom one had come into contact start.

In the early 1960s, in fact, during the aforementioned excavation works in the city of Nice on the French Riviera, necessary for the construction of a shopping centre, a sensational discovery occurred: in a geological stratum that was certainly at least 600,000 years old, the technicians involved with assisting the excavation found themselves dismayed at the discovery of the remains of architecturally modern blocks of flats and apartments, complete with traces of toilets, but in fact frighteningly ancient. It was a certain confirmation of the cyclical theory of civilizations.

The geologist Villa intervened there, as we have already read, wanted to divulge the clamorous news to the media, but was first blocked and then threatened by the Western secret services — probably French and American jointly — not to dare to do such a thing. He would have been deemed insane and his career would have ended. The geologist was thus forced to keep his mouth shut.

Let's go further. On the basis of the fact that it was noticed that the first lunar probes that crashed into our satellites in several cases, at the moment of impact, made the Moon ring (according to terrestrial seismographs) like a ‘bell’, and therefore revealed the existence of enormous cavities inside it, together with the fact that there were recordings of mysterious luminous flashes on the lunar surface, perhaps due to explosions (provoked?) or impacts of meteorites, NASA decided — was this the real reason? — to organize lunar missions with human beings on board.

What has been reported by the independent research group corresponds largely with what has already been witnessed for several years by former NASA technician Richard Hoagland: the remains of a mysterious ancient civilization were discovered on the Moon, and artifacts were taken which then they served for the current technological development of the Earth for the Eighties, Nineties and Two Thousands. Now we come to some connections.

In the Seventies Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the Moon, found himself catapulted into a mission between the Andes and the forests of Ecuador, with a sudden Western (Scottish) mission to visit a strange cave, the Cueva de los Tayos, three hundred meters deep and about 10 kilometers long, to view strange megalithic formations found at the bottom of this natural South American tunnel. Neil Armstrong would be made to see and compare what he saw on the Moon with what existed within the Cueva de los Tayos on Earth.

In well-defined academic and established power levels, questions were thus asked about what type of action to take to ensure that ordinary people could not investigate further and serious doubts were posed as to whether or not humanity should become aware of certain discoveries.

The case that had been referred to me thus concerned, in particular, the engineer Alessandro Porro, who had died some time ago (in the summer of 1976).

In the 1960s this person, together with other technicians, on the basis of underground researches commissioned by large international companies, carried out his studies by analyzing the subsoil of the Po Valley and the Prealps: several times, hundreds of meters deep, the instrument created by him (the Electronic Diviner) revealed the existence of dozens and dozens of large metal spheres, perhaps hollow inside. In other cases it was impossible to describe what was found except by resorting to a paradoxical explanation: huge unknown machines, with very daring structures, seemed to have been buried, or one was faced with caves that seemed to house real cities submerged by dozens meters of earth and stones. In other cases the search sonars literally went berserk, the search beams being deflected by inexplicable opposing telluric forces.

They looked like forces coming from unknown machines still working. This engineer, taken by restlessness, confided in his other colleagues and it was thus decided to continue this research in private, also due to the fact that, occasionally, several of those mysterious metal and concrete spheres, after a few months, they exploded underground and destroyed themselves (or were destroyed).

It was now the early Seventies, and the result of this pool of researchers was incredible, but realistically for them: some intelligences were acting on the Earth, probably sending impulses from an unspecified base on the Moon, destroying the spheres metallic, in order not to have them recovered and studied better by these researchers.

This scientist was then suddenly contacted on Lake Garda in 1974 by mysterious characters. They were part of
