    As the king of the kingdom looked out over the grand ballroom, he felt a sense of excitement mixed with apprehension. He was known throughout the land as a just and fair ruler, but he was also widely known to be gay, which made things difficult at times. He saw many of his subjects enjoying themselves, dancing and laughing, and he longed to join them.

    He made his way through the crowd, stopping to speak with a few of his closest advisors, and then scanning the room for any potential threats. It was then that he saw him, standing at the edge of the dance floor, alone and seemingly lost in thought. The stranger was tall, with dark hair and piercing blue eyes. He wore a simple yet elegant suit of midnight blue, and the king felt an immediate pull towards him.

    Without thinking, the king made his way over to the stranger and introduced himself, holding out his hand in greeting. The stranger took his hand and smiled warmly, and the king felt a jolt of electricity run through him. They spoke of the ball, of the kingdom, and of what it meant to be gay in a world that often refused to accept who they truly were.

    As the night wore on, the king found himself gravitating towards the stranger more and more, drawn by his intelligence, his humor, and his deep sense of kindness. They danced together, shared a bottle of wine, and talked late into the night. And then, just as quickly as he had appeared, the stranger was gone.
