In this biblical and conversational book by Dr. Tony Evans and his four adult children—Chrystal Evans Hurst, Priscilla Shirer, Anthony Evans, and Jonathan Evans—you will hear five insightful perspectives on what it means to hold on to faith when life breaks your heart.
We have all been through difficult seasons and times in life when it seems like the hits keep coming and you can barely catch your breath. The Evans family knows what this is like, as they’ve experienced the deep grief of losing eight loved ones in less than two years’ time, including the devastating passing of Lois Evans, the matriarch of the family.
In Divine Disruption, Dr. Tony Evans and his children pull back the curtain on their faith-shaking experiences, in order to provide biblical wisdom and practical encouragement for how to deal with the hard, unexpected things we all inevitably face.
You’ll walk away with insights on:
- Why bad things happen despite a good and powerful God
- Persevering in difficult times and experiencing God’s peace
- What causes distress in your life—and how to move past it
- How to keep your faith from being damaged during tough times
Join the Evans Family in this unique Kingdom Legacy partnership as they candidly share honest questions they’ve asked, raw emotions they’ve felt, and solutions they’ve learned. Your life may have been interrupted, but you can use that to grow closer to God—and find peace.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The key to going through though times is to believe what you claim/preach - Dr Tony Evans.
Highly recommended!
It is a challenge to question whether or not we truly believe in whom we call our God and have come to know Him for ourselves, and would remain even when things do not go our way.
Also, particularly highlighted for me, is the blessing of family.
The dinner table, is the family's. Every other can wait. It is the center of leadership, community and fellowship.
Absolutely love it. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is amazing. God has inspired this outstanding family to share their reviting and inspiring testimony.
Excellent production. I loved it! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What an amazing book! If I had to choose America’s Family of the Year, you guys are it. This book will inspire, encourage, and help with the healing one needs when tragedy strikes and our faith is tested. We lost 5 family members in one car accident 25 years ago in March(mom, dad, brother, 2 nephews). We were devastated. It was a rough ride for many years but God’s grace continues to be displayed in our lives. We choose to face the difficulties in life with Him rather than without Him. Praise God for the Evans family. Thank you for your sharing your story.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Thank you for this book. ?I lost my grand mother, mother and brother 2018-2021. I wish I had this book to read before. We saw our mother fading with her cancer but she didn’t want to believe she was dying and so too we held on to the end in faith. Not sending her off the way we wish we should. ?But we realized we got all our prayers answered except it was on a different level. I’m still struggling to deal with my big brothers death 57 years with two teenagers and a young wife. Only God knows. Thank you for this book. ?
