When we land in Bangkok, it’s evening peak hour, which means traffic. Lots of it. But that’s to be expected in a city of 11 million people. The customs lines at the airport are long, and then our 40-minute drive from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River easily turns into an hour. But as soon as our transfer turns into the hotel, a sense of calm washes over us.
