‘NOBODY IS BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE’

f016-01.jpg

even by everyday standards, Christine Lampard is remarkably down to earth. Take away the presenting career and the football legend husband, and you’re left with a woman who still can’t quite believe her luck. ‘If you had told me when I was growing up I’d be doing what I’m doing now, I would have laughed so much. Even now, I find it ridiculous. I love it so much, but it is ridiculous.’

The 45-year-old blends in seamlessly on woman&home’s shoot, chatting to everyone like they’re mates and beaming with delight when a coffee order arrives.

Forget about name-dropping or delusions of grandeur; when she’s not having her hair and make-up touched up or changing outfits, she’s chatting away excitedly about her new sofa from Dunelm, the best ways to get dog smells out of carpets, and how much she loves going home to her native Northern Ireland to stay with her parents.
