The Hellenistic period is a strange one for the magazineIn spite of the difficulties with studying the period (or, perhaps, because of), this really is a fascinating subject. Not only is Hellenistic diplomacy concerned with the dynastic politics that seems to punctuate all periods of history, it also allows us to examine how different groups, from the Greek to client kings, managed to navigate the complex world Alexander's death created.We put a lot of work into this issue, and I hope you like it!
