SLOW FASHION and sustainability are really in focus at the moment. Any search on Pinterest.com will show you lots of suggestions of how to make the most of your existing clothes, rather than buying new items, by making them last and repairing them properly. But what about knitwear? Don’t resign your unwanted or damaged handknits to the charity shop straight away; you can repair, reuse and recycle the yarn, fibre or fabric of your knitwear to extend its life – which is the essence of sustainability and slow fashion.
