How accurate are developmental milestone charts, and are they the definitive guide to normal growth?

Paediatricians Jennifer Shu(American Academy of Pediatrics, 2005), say that average milestone indicators are just that – indicators. The normal age range at which your baby is likely to master a milestone may fall two to three months either side of the average.
