Our forgotten TREASURES

‘It took me back to my childhood’

Daisy White, 44, is an author and lives in Brighton.

I opened the box and gasped. Rather than trinkets, underneath the newspaper lurked a piece of my own history – a blue and white teacup I’d last drunk from over 30 years ago. My gran, Marjorie, passed away  in 2017, aged 87. Like many, her mobility had lessened as she’d aged and my memories were of a woman who’d spend hours reading her beloved Agatha Christie books – we shared a passion for crime fiction.
