USUALLY WITH exercise, the faster you go, the better your results, but there’s a school of thought that says when it comes to strength training, slow and steady might win the race.

A technique called super-slow training sees you taking up to 20 secs to do one repetition of lifting and lowering a weight, ie controlling the move both up for 10 secs and down for 10 secs, whereas a normal repetition takes three to four secs a rep and often gravity takes over
