If you're looking for an easy project to complete your Christmas outfit, make a pair of these charming pink gingerbread Christmas slippers. Inspired by all things festive and sweet, these house slippers are perfect for getting in the holiday spirit.
To start, we used light pink faux fur slippers to give it that "candy land" feel, but you're welcome to use any color you'd like. (Light brown would be especially cute for a more classic gingerbread version!) The slippers can also be made of materials other than faux fur, though there's something delightfully cozy and festive about fluffy slippers.

Things You'll Need
Light pink faux fur slippers
White rickrack trim
Red pompoms
Purple, blue and pink felt
Fabric scissors
Hot glue gun
Tip
Feel free to use footwear of your choice. For example, you can use shearling or sherpa slippers, booties or even slipper socks. You’re also not limited to women’s slippers, as you can easily adapt this project to create a unisex pair.
1. Make felt candy base
Cut three strips measuring 1 by 7 in. each using purple, blue and pink felt.
Tip
Use different colors of felt depending on your desired look. For a simpler take, use one color of felt.
Layer the felt strips on top of each other. Tightly roll one end and use hot glue to secure it.
Continue tightly rolling the felt until the roll reaches your desired size.
Trim the excess felt.
Glue down the edges. Repeat to make a second candy.
2. Add wrapper details
Cut two rectangular pieces of felt measuring 1 by 2 in. each. At one end of each piece, cut out a triangle notch.
Pinch the flat edge of each rectangle and glue to the sides of the spiral candy.
3. Embellish slippers
To complete your candy-themed cozy slippers, hot glue two rows of white rickrack across the front. Add red pompoms between the rows.
Finish by gluing the felt candies to the slippers; the exact placement is up to you. Style the finished slippers with your favorite festive sweatshirt or wrap it up for a sweet Christmas gift!
More Christmas Slipper Ideas
This project can be easily adapted to make a pair of Christmas tree slippers. Simply use tinsel garland instead of rickrack and a pair of green slippers instead of pink. Add a yellow star patch instead of felt candy and you have yourself a pair of Christmas tree house shoes that even Santa will love.
