Radom VIS P.35, late WWII – SOLD

$825.00

Radom VIS P.35, 9mm

The VIS P.35 was designed and made in Poland, with obvious influences of the venerable 1911 pistols. It has lived a life in obscurity until quite recently, but nowadays most gun experts agree that it’s one of the very best handguns of WWII.

This pistol is a late WWII “2-lever” variation, which is a wartime expedient version of the original pattern VIS pistols. The takedown latch has been replaced by a simplified takedown system that uses the hammer as a hold open during disassembly, and the original grips are retained by the peculiar “fat screws” that were intended to eliminate the early 1911 style grip screw bushings. The magazine is factory original with the correct WaA Waffenamt marking

The VIS pistols used to be “just a funky Browning clone”, but since W. York’s book was published they have become one of the most sought after of the WWII handguns. The supply of Radoms is quickly diminishing, so this is a great opportunity to pick one up at a reasonable price!
