Since Pride Month has officially kicked off and is continuing throughout June, we’re eagerly searching for Pride outfits. We’ve got the LGBTQIA+ ally makeup brands all bookmarked for when the parades roll round, and we’re stocking up on our favourite products from all the best gender-fluid beauty labels, too.
While there are, without question, a million milestones to reach and progress to be made when it comes to LGBTQIA+ rights across the globe, it’s important to celebrate everything that has been achieved so far. Pride Month acknowledges the strides made by so many and brings awareness to the important and ongoing issues we still need to address. June is a time to publicly (and proudly) celebrate love and identity in all of its shapes and forms, so if you’re interested in getting dressed up for the occasion then you’re in luck. We’ve found 23 Pride outfits below, including pieces from brands that are supporting the cause by donating profits and/or lump sums of money to relevant organisations and charities. We love to see it.
It goes without saying that rainbow colours are an absolute must, as are all the sequins, glitter and OTT embellishments. The streets are your runway, so you want to be loud about your support. Levi’s currently have a Pride collection full of colourful pieces and empowering slogans, including this Liberation trucker jacket and these flag socks. In support of global human rights for LGBTQIA+, the brand has made an annual donation of $100,000 USD to OutRight Action International. It’s this charity that Bluebella have also chosen to support, and will be donating 10% off the profits made from the sales of their Pride Lingerie collection to the organisation.
Elsewhere, there are loads of labels that have all produced specific designs to support the LGBTQIA+ community in some way. This ‘Protect Queer Youth’ T-shirt was part of Warehouse’s 2021 Pride collection but is still on sale now, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Mermaids - a charity committed to supporting transgender, non-binary and gender diverse children. Abercrombie & Fitch is donating $400,000 USD to The Trevor Project alongside selling Pride-supportive merchandise like this Pride Keith Haring Graphic Tee, and VANS has created an entire campaign by the not-for-profit organisation Witness Change to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ community members. They have also donated $50,000 USD to the launch of Where Love is Illegal, which has awarded three LGBTQIA+ photographers to document stories from queer communities.
