Beer is the drink that keeps on giving. The super alcohol can do everything from clean your gold jewelry to help you sleep better at night. Which is precisely why it's not the kind of beverage you want to load up on if you can't crash for the night any time soon. But, now, Starbucks is changing that. The beloved coffee empire has just announced a brand new addition to their lineup and it combines beer with caffeine.

Dubbed The Espresso Cloud™ IPA, the drink is Starbucks' debut crafted cocktail, as Grubstreet reports. It's served just like a boilermaker, which consists of a beer alongside a shot of whiskey. Only the Espresso Cloud pairs a shot of sweetened citrus-infused espresso with an IPA. Starbucks recommends pouring the shot into the beer—hence the name Espresso Cloud—but if you want to ease into combining coffee and beer you can just sip on the IPA, which has a foam head created from shaken espresso. Your local barista might shoot you a dirty look, though, since Starbucks is keen on creating “a truly interactive and unique beverage experience" by urging customers to pour in the shot.

You can watch the creation of the drink below, which is slated to appear on Starbucks' evening menus nationwide.
