Hope Park, Keswick
Originally grazing land for coach-horses, Sir Percy Hope opened a mini-golf course in 1927. Other leisure activities have been added over the years. The ornamental garden was once the private garden of Lady Hope. After Sir Percy's death in 1974 the Hope Park Charitable Trust took over the running of the park in his memory. It is currently maintained by the town council, but the golf, model boating lake and café are operated by Hope Leisure Ltd.
