Roots theatre

"Roots" theatre is a genre originating in Jamaica, where it is perceived by some as down-market, populist and set against a more "respectable" mainstream. It is characterised by heavy use of patois, sometimes broad comedy and "ghetto" stereotypes. In the United Kingdom roots plays tour as a circuit of their own, using venues off the main theatrical circuit and presumably playing to a very largely Caribbean-heritage audience.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
