NT2185 : Fog in the Firth of Forth

taken 2 years ago, near to Burntisland, Fife, Scotland

Fog in the Firth of Forth
Fog in the Firth of Forth
Looking across the sea from the Western Harbour Breakwater towards Fife to a bank of fog over the Firth of Forth. The large plume rising, and then drifting east, will be from the Mossmorran NGL Plant, most likely clear of fog, as it is 4.75km from the coast. Distance from camera to plume is 14km. The high ground seen above the fog is about 200m a.s.l., so an approximate estimate of the thickness of the fog is about 100m.
