The Mill Pond at Bateman's
Bateman's dates from the 17th century. Rudyard Kipling lived in Bateman's from 1902 to his death in 1936. It is now owned by the National Trust - see LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )

The 18th-century working water mill was much loved by Rudyard Kipling and featured in his stories written at Bateman’s. This is the restored mill looking across the Mill Pond.
