One of the four "units" on the newly-redeveloped "Bunker" site is this new public car park intended to ease parking pressure in Hexham. Under consideration is a plan to seriously restrict the day-long parking spaces in the central Wentworth car park, thereby diverting commuters into Hexham to use this space. At present, the car park is not even signed from the main road, and it is very unlikely to be popular as it is a fair step from the town, including a crossing of the busy Alemouth Road.
