taken 2 years ago, near to Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire, England

Ruined Walls at the Bishop's Palace
Ruined Walls at the Bishop's Palace
Once one of the finest residences in the country, belonging to the extremely wealthy Bishops of Winchester, the palace was in ruins by the end of the English civil war. Much of the stone was taken for use elsewhere and the surviving ruins became part of a farmyard until bequeathed to the Ministry of Works, now English Heritage.
