A view of the canal from the A82 swingbridge at Tomnahurich. Ahead, past the bridge control tower, is the new swing bridge linking the Inverness West Link road with the A82. NH6543 : New canal swing bridge construction shows the new bridge under construction and gives more information on how the two bridges work together to avoid the lengthy traffic delays which used to occur when the bridge was opened to allow boats to pass along the canal.
