The Cumbria Way long distance path follows a path through the heather as it approaches Wiley Gill (next photograph NY3030 : The Cumbria Way near Wiley Gill).
The heather clad hill in the background is Pike; it is a shoulder of Knott, one of the principal summits of the northern fells.
The Cumbria Way

A 119km (74 mile) long distance path from Ulverston to Carlisle, through the heart of the English Lake District.
